  • How long does it typically take to build my new website?

    We aim to deliver the first working draft of your website design within 2-4 weeks of receiving all your information and content, and from that point any changes you request will be implemented within a few working days.


    If you have a specific deadline, please let us know when placing your order and we will always do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • What are the costs involved in my new website?

    There are two fixed fees involved in our website design services. A one-time setup fee which covers everything you need to get online, and a monthly subscription which covers everything you need to stay there.

  • How does it work?

    We follow a product based approach to delivering our website services, we find clients really like this because you always know exactly what you can expect from us, when and for how much.


    Following our unique 6 step process, expectations are clearly defined so you always know in which order the carious elements of the project will be

    delivered.

  • Can I edit my website myself once it goes live?

    Yes. We use an excellent content management system powered by Duda, which allows ‘drag and drop’ style editing of the completed website. You can change text content, upload new images, add special offers or holiday closing hours and much more.


    Alternatively for those who prefer not to take an active role, you can always email request to support@marcellmedia.co.uk and we can assist with these updates.

  • What happens if I need to make an edit to the website?

    You have two options.


    You can request access to the content management system and make the edits to text and images yourself, or alternatively you can email our support team directly and we will assist with these requests.


    We include up to 20 minutes of edits free of charge every month, which would cover most things such as updating contact details, adding a new service or changing the profile of a team member. Beyond that we can of course still help, but there will be a small admin charge for the additional design work.

  • Do I get a business email address?

    Yes. All subscriptions come with one free Microsoft 365 Business email account which is branded to match your domain, for example john@abcbuilders.co.uk 


    We use Microsoft instead of basic email inboxes because of the added security, industry leading reliability and the ability to easily integrate with any email app on both mobile an desktop devices.


    You can buy additional email licences for team members as needed for £11 per month.

  • Can I use my existing domain?

    Yes. If you have already registered a .com or .co.uk domain, we can use this one.


    You can decide if you prefer to transfer the domain to our client account for safe keeping, or you can simply allow us to make changes to the technical settings (DNS Records) in you existing account and leave it there. Popular providers are GoDaddy, 123-Reg or Names Co.


    With either option, the domain remains your digital property at all times.

  • I do not have a domain, can you help?

    Yes. Included in your monthly subscription is the registration fees to secure and manage your perfect .com or .co.uk domain.


    Just let us know your ideal choice and if available, we will register it on your behalf. The domain remains your digital property at all times, we are only charged with looking after it on your behalf until you instruct us otherwise and can be transferred back to your own account at any time by emailing support@marcellmedia.co.uk

  • Do I own the copywrite to my content?

    Yes. In the Starter package you will provide your own text content for the website, but in the premium packages such as Pro and Full  we will use our professional content writer to create this for you.


    This content is your digital property, so you can use it elsewhere in the business such as proposals and brochures.

  • What happens if I want to move my website to another hosting provider?

    We’ll be sad to see you go, but the website is your digital property, and you are free to leave at any time.


    We don’t believe in long contracts, so all we require is a month’s notice so we can make the arrangements for you.


    The website is built on a platform called Duda, which is a professional website design platform. If you wish to retain the ability to edit the design, you will need to transfer th website into a separate Duda account for self-management or by your appointe webmaster.

  • I need a logo designing, can you help with that?

    Yes. Our Pro, Full and Shop packages all include logo designs as standard in the setup fee.


    Typically we will create 4 logo designs based on your requests and what we think would work well for your business, and then you can request changes or alternative colour schemes from there.

  • Why do I need to keep paying my monthly hosting subscription?

    All websites require hosting and support services to keep them working. 


    Our websites come with EVERYTHING that you need included in the monthly subscription (domain name, hosting, email, security, website editing tools, SSL certificate, telephone support, email support and lots more).


    Having a reliable website is like having an extra employee who doesn’t sleep and is online all the time informing new and existing clients – helping your business meet its goals. When you think about it that way, it is phenomenal value.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    Clients generally prefer to pay the setup fee via bank transfer or card payment after receiving our proforma invoice outlining the work we will provide for you. We accept all major debit and credits cards.


    The monthly subscription will be collected by direct debit, starting the month after you sign up for a website package.

  • I have chosen my package, what are the next steps?

    This is the exciting part!

    Yes, of course – we are always happy to discuss your plans for the business and what ideas might work best for your needs.

  • What is the contract term?

    We don’t believe in long contracts, so you are not tied into a lengthy agreement for maintenance or subscriptions. If you no longer need the website, just let us know via email and we’ll take that as your 1 month notice to cancel your services.
